Hoctor Smyth

Paddy is the Senior Project Engineer at Hoctor Smyth and is one of the longest serving team members.  A dedicated professional he has a comprehensive knowledge of both structural and civil design.    He gained is qualifications in Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Limerick in 2011 after four years of rigorous study and practical experience.  During this time Paddy spent time at Hoctor Smyth on work experience where we further developed his passion for structure and building design.

Prior to obtaining a full time position with Hoctor Smyth Paddy worked in London for Lorcan Ltd a civil engineering and ground works contractor based in West Ealing and provided expertise on the North pole Depot train maintenance centre project in Central London.  Paddy also spent some time  working locally at Loughnane’s Concrete in Birr.

Paddy’s expertise and rigorous approach to the production of working drawings and providing technical specifications in a timely manner has proven invaluable to the project implementation process.
